I have been involved in the travel industry since the age of 17 when I embarked on a career as an Air Traffic Controller, in the  U.K, Germany and South Africa. This opened my eyes to the world of travel which I have been fortunate enough to do extensively (North & South America/Australia/New Zealand/Asia/Europe)

As a side-line I started my own business in magnetic advertising which was very successful. However I sold this business prior to moving to South Africa in 2008.

​

My passion for the tourist industry led me to becoming a qualified tourist guide concentrating on the Western Cape.

Since retiring from Air Traffic control I have travelled throughout Southern Africa staying in lodges and also camping. I simply love putting road trips together and subsequently enjoy planning holiday itineraries for myself and others. 

​

I have had the opportunity to visit all of the islands listed on the Island Stays website and can advise clients on what they could experience. 

In addition I was one of the first visitors to fly into the remote island of St Helena.

In recent months I have visited Japan, Madagascar, Canada, Alaska, Oman and Kerala.
