In 2003, my enchanting journey in the tourism industry began, starting as a junior lodge manager with Wilderness Safaris at Rocktail Bay Lodge on South Africa's far northeast coast. After four wonderful years, I ascended to the role of assistant lodge manager. Subsequently, I embraced the opportunity to inaugurate a new lodge as the manager for Wilderness Safaris Zambia.

 

Unfortunately, circumstances led me back to South Africa, where I took on a short-term position at a lodge in Mozambique. Fulfilling a dream, I assumed the role of General Manager at Chitwa Chitwa Private Game Lodge in the Sabi Sands upon my return.

 

Three years later, I seized the chance to run my own forest lodge, Trogon House & Forest Spa, near Plettenberg Bay. This marked a shift from operations to sales, reservations, and marketing. Managing a portfolio of five villas in Cape Town and two lodges in Plettenberg Bay, I further delved into the industry.

 

After four years, I returned to the bush, joining Khaya Ndlovu Safari Manor in a sales, marketing, and reservations capacity. My foundation in hotel management, acquired through correspondence during my early years, aligns with my belief that first-hand experiences are crucial for success in the travel industry.

I have had the good fortune to have explored Southern Africa, Australia, Europe, and the UK extensively. Among my favorite destinations are the crystal-clear waters of Africa and Asia, with Seychelles, especially Mahe and North Island, holding a special place in my heart. Mozambique and Reunion Island closely follow, each boasting unique attractions, including witnessing a volcanic eruption in Reunion—a bucket list experience.
